The Sensory Art Program offers a unique opportunity for children to explore the world of art through tactile, visual and kinesthetics media.

The program fuses art creation with art theory, focusing on not just the final artwork but also the process of creating art.

​

Children will discover their artistic potential as they develop a deep appreciation of art through innovative art-based learning experiences.

Paint Mixing on Canvas

Term 1 - Lesson 1 & 2

Lesson 1: 3pm to 4pm (min 5 children)

Ignite your child's creativity with this fun two-part color adventure! In Lesson 1, kids will explore primary and secondary colours, mixing red, yellow, and blue to create vibrant hues like orange, green, and purple through hands-on activities. In Lesson 2, they’ll learn how to create tints, shades, and tones by adding white, black, and grey, transforming colors in exciting ways. This interactive experience will deepen their colour knowledge and spark a love for art!

Wall Putty with Palette Knives

Term 1 - Lesson 3 & 4

Lesson 3: 3pm to 4pm (min 5 children)

Let your young artist unleash their creativity with a hands-on palette knife painting class! They’ll create a stunning sunflower by painting a vibrant gradient background and using bold strokes to form textured petals. Through circular motions, they’ll bring the sunflower’s center to life, learning new techniques while boosting confidence and fine motor skills. At the end, they’ll share their vibrant artwork, discovering the joy of using a palette knife to create beautiful textures!

Colour Shading with Oil Pastels

Term 1 - Lesson 5 & 6

Lesson 5: 3pm to 4pm (min 5 children)

Join us for an exciting colour journey! In Lesson 5, children will learn to create smooth gradients with oil pastels, experimenting with horizontal, vertical, and diagonal blending. In Lesson 6, they’ll use their blending skills to create a sunset scene, layering reds, oranges, and yellows, then adding silhouettes for a stunning effect. This hands-on experience will enhance creativity, fine motor skills, and color mixing, leaving your child with a beautiful artwork and a deeper love for colour blending!

Abstract Mosaic with Shapes

Term 1 - Lesson 7 & 8

Lesson 7: 3pm to 4pm (min 5 children)

Watch your child’s creativity soar in this interactive mosaic art class! They’ll create vibrant artwork by painting a base color, cutting shapes with stencils, and gluing colorful foam pieces to mimic a real mosaic. As they experiment with colors and patterns, they’ll build fine motor skills and explore their imagination. At the end, your child will proudly share their unique creation, inspired by their artistic journey!
